Working pupil positions

Byalee is a busy working stable with up to 20 horses worked each day, as many as 70 lessons given each week, and with lots of stud work from September to March.  Working pupil positions offer a learning environment for horse-crazy people to indulge their passion!

Many of our past working pupils were visiting Australia from overseas and are able to stay for only a short time, hence there are often opportunities available. Our circumstances often change and even if you aren't quite ready to commence your education, feel free to check back regularly to check for opportunites.

Positions are also advertisied on the Byalee Stables' Facebook page, so like our page and make it a 'see first' page to ensure you don't miss out.

And of course, please contact us for details and we can fill you in the opportunities available.

Work experience opportunities are also available for school, TAFE or university obligations – again, please contact us for details.

A tribute from a departing German working pupil:

'Dear Ann-Maree -

I really want to thank you for everything! I had an awesome time at Byalee which I will never forget. It was a great beginning of my Aussie experience and I've enjoyed every minute. I will miss you, the people and animals but especially your positive energy and this 'everything is possible' attitide!!

Next to the new knowledge of handling stallions, mares and foals, I've learned a lot about ME. I am more confident now!

*What I learned at Byalee:
* to be bossy
* never give up!
* to 'have a go'
* if you do something, do it properly!
* to work hard
* and to get to know the crazy but lovely Australian mentality!'
