Byalee sells up to 50 horses a year of all descriptions.

We always have horses in training to be sold. Some are sold before they are advertised, so please email if you are interested in any of those coming up for sale., or looking for something specific.

We aim to give you as much information as possible about every horse and keep a record of its behaviour prior to departure.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds

You are, however, welcome to ride the horse as many times as you need to prior to departure, and you are welcome to have lessons on it and keep it on agistment at Byalee during your get-to-know you transition period.

We delight in matchmaking and try extremely hard to ensure that you will suit the horse and that the horse will suit you! Giving us accurate information about yourself and your riding really helps this process.

If you do advise you that the horse will not be suitable for you, please don't be upset - the perfect match will arrive! Some horses can cope with environments like Centennial Park in Sydney, others will not. Some will cope with being ridden twice a week, others need daily work. We take all of those factors into consideration, so the more you can tell us, the better!

Byalee Breathless

Buckskin gelding 3/10/08 17.1hh

SOLD for $72,600 at Auction of the Stars December 2015

By Byalee Briar (imp) out of Byalee Miracle (Richmeed Medallion (imp)/Salute (imp)

Byalee Breathless justifies his name and must surely take your breath away. The horse is naturally soft and supple beyond what is normal … he is capable of being ridden by riders who are not lucky enough to have advanced riding skills, however, he is a horse that is particularly exciting for a rider with top-of-the-range skills because he can - and does - respond brilliantly with great expression. He shows sensational extensions, is showing signs of wonderful, wonderful flying changes, he is good in all the two-track work while the canter pirouettes and piaffe do look to be extraordinarily gifted. At his first medium competition Breathless won both tests and was champion medium horse. He is by Byalee Briar (imp), by the world’s top Grand Prix dressage stallion for seven years, Bjorsells Briar 899. His dam is Byalee Miracle, a full sister to Grand Prix champion Byalee Magic, sold for some $300,000. Miracle is by Grand Prix stallion Richmeed Medallion (imp) out of Stirling Savannah (Salute/ Ludendorf/Monopol, all imported). Breathless is genuine in all ways and we already know that we will be regretting selling him; we do however have the sire and dam!  Breathless has the potential to be a truly international horse with an amazing future ahead of him.

Byalee Bewitch Me
For sale at Auction of the Stars, July 28/29, at Ryans, Heatherbrae, Newcastle.
Burnt buckskin mare 10/9/2014 mature 16.1hh

This is a real cracker of a mare, about as flash as a 3yo young horse could possibly get! Imagine a Byalee Briar cross Andalusian buckskin competition horse with looks to die for - and there you have Byalee Bewitch Me. ‘Tess’ is incredibly eye-catching to look at, and under saddle tries hard to please as the rider enjoys her expansive yet still comfortable movement. The dam, Abracadabra, is a first-cross Andalusian by registered Andalusian stallion Omaru Aleito, who has won numerous titles including national Andalusian championships. Sire Briar is an extremely talented sire whose offspring have sold for as much as $72,000 under saddle at Auction of the Stars. Briar himself is showing some serious piaffe and passage and working steadily towards Grand Prix. Tess was broken in early last year and is a lovely, soft- moving mare who works softly over the back into the connection at walk, trot and canter. She is well-established in the basics and has begun leg-yielding and shoulder-in. Tess is an honest and willing horse who loves to work, and will have competed by the time of the auction, ensuring that the stage is set for her future success. She would make an incredible partner for either amateur or professional and is just amazing for her age! You can check her out at https://youtu.be/zFnS8y-Ogto.

Byalee Harmony

Clydesdale x TB mare
5yo 14.3hh

Harmony is a lovely natured mare out of a solid Clydie mum (Harmony) by the thoroughbred stallion Pine Planet. Byalee has known this sweetheart since she was bought at 18 months, and she is a product of the well-known Hunter Nursing Nannies stud. We have trained horses from Nursing Nannies before and they have all proven to be easy to handle and train with co-operative temperaments. Sold to a client and broken in, Harmony was leased out whilst the owners travelled Australia, then returned to Byalee where she has continued her training and has grown in maturity in leaps and bounds, being really trainable with easy, regular paces. Harmony has already competed to ensure that she has a solid basis for her career with her new partner and is now trainining through the dressage movements including some amazing talent for half-steps which will soon evolve into piaffe!
