Under saddle

Byalee sells up to 50 horses a year of all descriptions.

We always have horses in training to be sold. Some are sold before they are advertised, so please email if you are interested in any of those coming up for sale., or looking for something specific.

We aim to give you as much information as possible about every horse and keep a record of its behaviour prior to departure.

PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY AS WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. You are, however, welcome to ride the horse as many times as you need to prior to departure, and welcome to have lessons on it and keep it at Byalee during your get-to-know you transition period. We delight in matchmaking and try extremely hard to ensure that you will suit the horse and that the horse will suit you! Giving us accurate information about yourself and your riding really helps this process. If you do advise you that the horse will not be suitable for you, please don't be upset - the perfect match will arrive! Some horses can cope with environments like Centennial Park in Sydney, others will not. Some will cope with being ridden twice a week, others need daily work. We take all of those factors into consideration, so the more you can tell us, the better!

Byalee Breathless
Buckskin gelding 3/10/08 17.1hh

SOLD for $72,600 at Auction of the Stars December 2015

By Byalee Briar (imp) out of Byalee Miracle (Richmeed Medallion (imp)/Salute (imp)

Byalee Breathless justifies his name and must surely take your breath away. The horse is naturally soft and supple beyond what is normal … he is capable of being ridden by riders who are not lucky enough to have advanced riding skills, however, he is a horse that is particularly exciting for a rider with top-of-the-range skills because he can - and does - respond brilliantly with great expression. He shows sensational extensions, is showing signs of wonderful, wonderful flying changes, he is good in all the two-track work while the canter pirouettes and piaffe do look to be extraordinarily gifted. At his first medium competition Breathless won both tests and was champion medium horse. He is by Byalee Briar (imp), by the world’s top Grand Prix dressage stallion for seven years, Bjorsells Briar 899. His dam is Byalee Miracle, a full sister to Grand Prix champion Byalee Magic, sold for some $300,000. Miracle is by Grand Prix stallion Richmeed Medallion (imp) out of Stirling Savannah (Salute/ Ludendorf/Monopol, all imported). Breathless is genuine in all ways and we already know that we will be regretting selling him; we do however have the sire and dam!  Breathless has the potential to be a truly international horse with an amazing future ahead of him.
